Thanks to our amazing customers and supporters, the B-Stock Sourcing Network was recently selected as one of 3 finalists in the 2012 American Business Awards in the Supply Chain Management category. The prestigious American Business Awards, also known as the Stevie Awards, has been conferred for achievement in business to organizations and individuals in more than 60 nations since 2002. More than 3,000 nominations from organizations of all sizes and in virtually every industry were submitted this year for consideration. Finalists were chosen by more than 140 business professionals nationwide during preliminary judging in April and May, and the final placements (Gold, Silver, or Bronze) will be announced at an awards banquet later this year in San Francisco.
We’re honored and grateful to have been recognized as a finalist for this prestigious award. We are especially proud that the results of a customer survey we conducted back in February, were a key contributor to our being selected. We surveyed thousands of buyers across the entire B-Stock Sourcing Network and asked them to rate us on a scale of 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest, on their 9 most important criteria when it comes to a sourcing channel for liquidation and excess inventory. The 9 criteria were:
- The overall quality of the inventory.
- The accuracy of their manifests.
- The starting bid prices (auction platforms only).
- The final prices of the inventory.
- Trust and safety.
- Overall user experience.
- Customer support.
- The importance of the channel to their business.
- Their overall buyer satisfaction.
The response rate (over 550 of our buyers responded!) and results were fantastic. Our active Liquidation buyers rated the B-Stock Sourcing Network more than 4 stars in 6 out of the 9 areas, and especially high in overall buyer satisfaction, importance to their business, customer support, trust & safety, and quality of inventory. Check out the full ratings results here.
Amongst the B-Stock Sourcing Network B2B marketplaces, the Walmart marketplace and the Sam’s Club marketplace were rated the highest when it came to overall buyer satisfaction, while the Walmart and Macy’s marketplaces were rated highest for overall importance to the buyers’ business.
We also asked our active buyers to rate us relative to other well known liquidation companies from whom they’ve sourced inventory. As you can see from the charts below, the B-Stock Sourcing Network compared very favorably to the other solutions, especially in the areas of overall buyer satisfaction, quality of inventory, and overall importance to the buyer’s business. In addition, the fact that we’re not a middleman who buys, owns, and resells the inventory also plays a big part in why buyers rate the B-Stock Sourcing Network so highly. Buyers really love the fact that they can source directly from major retailers, and build personal relationships with them.
Needless to say, we were extremely happy with the results, and want to thank all of our customers for making it possible. We look forward to the continued growth and improvement of our network. We have launched a new Closed Auctions section.
