There are probably an unlimited number of examples of effects like this one. A niche ripple effect of the slowing economy and changing consumption habits that will have major impact on inventory and secondary market activity in an upstream or downstream market.

If I was advising a major player in this industry, a branded auction marketplace to optimize for the secondary market activity that is likely to surge would be high on my list of recommendations.
